My reminiscence...The subtle signs of nature

A significant event awaiting
Being a strong believer of espousals
The urge to move into a bigger house
Finding one online matching my expectations
The cons, I ignored.
 
Online pictures of a duplex house allured me
Brand colours with ample parking space
The picturesque, phew I was all in
An impulsive decision overpowering me
Though I felt, I ignored.
 
A pleasantry welcome by a seemingly well-educated woman
As I parked my car added to my intention of finalizing
‘You know the woods change according to the seasons,’ she mentioned
As she struggled opening the main door
The subtle sign of struggle, I ignored.
 
A big living room, well designed dining space
Opening to an adjacent small gardening area
With ample natural lightings and ventilations
Were all positives for me
The weak flow of water from all the taps, I ignored.
 
A couple of days after something in me shifted
Triggering a call for a second visit to the house
Obviously, the owner being desperate to rent out
The discussion with the owner initiated
The not-so-pleasant conversation, I ignored.
 
Separate room for kids for their privacy
Bath tub, a rare commodity alluring them
The decision to move in to the house was finalized
But for me, the unpleasantry conversation
Put me into a dilemma, I ignored.
 
I never knew that my ignorance would come at a cost…
