Final Part
For the final shopping of all that were required
Before she even completed her sentence
I saw my nineteen-year-old, young and an obedient child,
Lying flat, eyes half opened, muttering gibberish
Rushing him to a hospital, drips injected, vitals checked, something amiss.
I had to struggle to soothe him, holding him in my arms
A couple of hours later, as we all drove back
A deafening silence hovered till we reached home
His hesitation to step inside the house, something amiss.
‘She pushed me and I fell, she is there waiting’
The weird expression on his face shook me to my core,
‘Whoever it is, please don’t harm my child’
As I yelled at his something and to nothing for the rest of us, something amiss.
Once everyone slept, my mind had figured it out
The next morning, everyone recovering from the shock
Life, coming to normalcy, my enquiry about the history of the house followed
The response I got from the surroundings, cleared my doubts.
The owner’s hesitation in revealing about the history of the house when enquired
The flickering lights during my very first visit and even during my second visit
Occasions like lights flickering in the bed room in the mid of one night
A light switched on, even when the switches were turned off, dots connected.
I relocated to another city, which came with a cost
It was about the hefty amount of money I had to forego though
My family safe, secure, prospering, all, I could conclude for self
Subtle signs of nature, the unpleasantries, the missing of somethings cannot be ignored.
Those of you who are reading the this, please go through the previous 2 pieces…. Me, being an atheist though, having experienced such situations, I vouch, yes, energies are all around us, both positive and negative.
My takeaway lesson of life, one has to be very careful in choosing the house, be it temporary as a tenant or to own one. I get goosebumps even while writing this - my not so past experiences!
And, the negativity can be overcome by increasing the positivity around, this is exactly what I followed until my stay in the house. Haunted house, should I mention, I am not sure! But all I wish to mention is, I experienced these in Mysore, my favourite city, a well-developed area, to be precise, in Roopanagar. If anyone staying in Roopanagar, in Mysore, within the radius of 10 meters, landmark - Roopa Bhandar, may contact me on FB or Instagram or comment on the posts to know more about the details of the house.
The owner of the house, being well educated, holding a high rank in education field in one of the districts in Karnataka, Google mentioning his achievements, there were somethings more sensitive profound thoughts to be considering. A short term association, my stay, the strange happenings were all my pre-ordained destiny, I suppose.
