In every aspect of our lives, motivation is the key. Motivation results
in the excellent output. Most often, our plans go haywire and we become
clueless and lost. Accepting it as a way of life, we go through the dull days
and in the process, we ruin our dreams. With negativity filled in our minds, we
just waste our precious life achieving nothing.
While we cannot control and change the negativity hovering in around us
we can always change our attitude towards those negativities. Responding
positively can bring in the magic back into your lives.
Here are six tips to stay motivated in life:
1. Take a break and accept your failure:
Failure is the first step to success. Having made that first step, we are one-step ahead in reaching our goal. Isn’t it a great move? Let us get inspired by Thomas Edison’s words, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Sit back. Relax. Take a break. Think of the other alternative way you need to proceed ahead.
2. Read motivational stuff:
Autobiographies are
the best to get motivation. Get to know the stories of legends. They too had
their share of tough days. Being unproductive, lazy, tired, boredom comes as a
package with success. Embracing it graciously gets us head on with our plans.
Being motivated is the first step
toward success.
3. Disconnect yourself from the routine, rather integrate some new things:
Do not let the routine affect you. For some, routine does not work. Routine means something you know beforehand. When you know the fallout, you are in your comfort zone. You need to pull out yourself from the rut. Uncertainties, risks, and challenges are the real motivators. Stretch your limits. Push your boundaries. They are the best triggers for our brains. Churning thoughts keep you on the go.
4. Revise your goals and action plans:
Go back to your
list of goals and revise. Break down into the smallest realistic steps. Mark in
the deadlines. Including one at a time, build a strategy. One of the most
popular motivational speaker and personal development coach said, “A major
source of stress in our lives comes from the feeling that we have an impossible
number of things to do. If you take on a project and try to do the whole thing
all at once, you’re going to be overwhelmed.”
5. Go public. Commit yourself:
Talk to someone who
is close to you about your plans and goals. Going public is nothing but
commitment to ourselves. Stick your goal list in the important places of your
house corners. Let it keep reminding you of your targets because
procrastination and temporary setbacks can hit us anytime.
6. Look back and take stock of your achievements periodically
Look back often and take count of how far you have come and how far you have to go. Measure your achievements. Celebrate your success. Rewarding ourselves is a big motivation. Visualize the big day.
Come what may never ever give up on
your dreams.
