A
comment on my facebook page got me down thinking on what it was that made me to
write ‘A drop of Dew’. Getting ‘Over the
Rainbow’ published was one of the most important things I have always wanted to
do. It was without much thought on the
story line as it is my autobiography.
All I had to do was to weave and write carefully, without missing on any
details. It was with much of heart than mind.
All said and done, two months later,
my most ambitious book was in my hand.
I call it ‘my baby’.
With
that, my enthusiasm did not fade away, rather it increased, inspiring me to try
my hand at something challenging. Having
been married for long eighteen years and becoming a mother of three, I was drifted
to a very far off land where it was just my responsibility, kids and family that
came above everything else. Why not reignite my life, I thought and
plunged into writing ‘A drop of Dew’. As
I started to build characters, to my surprise, I found the characters becoming
real. The story started shaping up itself
far beyond my imagination. And by the
time I completed my last round of editing, it had brought back to me the memory
of the most beautiful part of my life, the feelings and emotions of being in
love.
Days whizz by. Incidents and
accidents happen along the way, nudging at every stage of life, with
relationships imbuing life with a meaning.
Relationships ordained for a specific time, a specific place and for a
specific purpose – some notably significant, while others wispy and
transitory. A few, unforgettably short
and sweet, too!
The
above lines are from the preface of my book ‘A drop of Dew’.
I
have dedicated it to all those who wish to nurture, nourish, endure, sustain and
maintain relationships, to those who put in a little of effort to keep
relationships going, to those who value relationships.
