Random
distracting thoughts and emotions started intruding my mind the moment I woke
up this morning. I put it aside to
catch up with the demanding household chores.
Finally, completing all the jobs, as I settled, allowing the thoughts that
had to be thought thoroughly to creep into my mind, it started going wild, like wild horses,
galloping on unfettered, kicking up dust. The unnecessary chaos had to be stopped to
think on the further course of action. I
started putting things in black and white, prioritizing them. One by one, as I started dealing, I felt incredibly
motivated. After endless procrastination, I finally committed to doing
something that I wanted to do since long – start writing my third novel. I ended up writing 9000 word counts. Isn’t that an achievement?
Life is
beautiful but nonetheless a series of trade-offs between compromise and
dreams. I truly believe, by re-aligning life, pushing
our boundaries, taking a few risks we can follow our own bliss.

Wow! What a way to debut a novel! The entire story flows amazingly well. Articulation of the instances has the power to hit you in your core bringing out all your emotions but most of all, leaving you with the overwhelming feeling, reminding you of your responsibility as a parent. It makes you re-discover yourself, taking you to evaluate, thereby giving a standard to your parenting style. The moment you start reading, you can be assured that you are in for an emotional journey. Though there are many characters in this story but each one has a place and adds on to the story taking it further on to a different level.
It makes you laugh, cry, smile, and finally leaves you with happiness. The happy ending note promises a hope of future for all the parents who are silently suffering the pain that can neither be shared nor be suppressed.
It was different from a lot of the books I have read in the past. Probably no Indian authors have tried to come up with such a sensitive issue. It has the power to serve as an eye opener for the parents who are facing some unseen, untold nor unheard problems in their kids leaving them with a conclusion that their child is far different from other kids, and most importantly it can be dealt.
Rajashree, I applaud you. You no doubt are a wonderful author. I am so looking forward for your next book.
A Drop of Dew
I'm not going to lie. I cried, not because the story was painful but it left me awestruck and I realized the torment of the ups and downs of life can be turned into little wonders or miracles. A Drop of Dew is though not unlike ANYTHING I have read but I adore the author’s choice to take up a forbidden topic and the way she put them out there for us to fall in love with is adorable. It leaves us painful to some extent, making us rethink what is socially acceptable and remind us to have an open mind about who we are in the world.
Have you ever met someone and immediately know that there is just something there? An instant connection! One you have never felt before and one you more than likely will never feel again because that spark is the kind that sets you onto a different journey with different approach toward life.
It had touched every single emotion in an eloquent way just as it did in her other work Over the Rainbow. A good read and I recommend..
Thank you Jay for reading my books. And also for the wonderful comment.
