After
quite a long time I was all alone sitting outside, sipping my tea enjoying the
cool morning breeze, watching the beautiful flowers that bloomed in my
garden. The heavy downpour of short
duration, a couple of days ago had brought down the temperature drastically. Thanks a ton to that fair share of rain that washed
away the scorching heat.
Vacation
over. School has reopened and kids are
back to their busy schedule allowing me to do some serious writing and
blogging.
Well, to start with, I wish to mention about the plans for the vacation. This
vacation, I had already decided on some important activities for my kids - car driving for my sixteen year old, and some readings for my twelve
year olds' to enhance knowledge and some family fun activities. And finally a short tour to hometown, to
visit their grandma. As soon as the vacation commenced, I implemented
my plans.
Visiting hometown was the most enjoyable one for kids. The short tour though was exhausting as most
of the time was spent in travelling, was worth it as I was able to execute all
my planned activities. To be more precise, I completed some of my long pending
jobs. Above all I was with my mom
throughout my stay. I took her everywhere I visited. The last minute plan to visit a temple for which
we had to travel approx. 200 km added a new dimension to my tour – thrill of a short
sail in a ferry...
Do
have a look of some of the pic below!
Isn't that good enough to keep the kids engaged gainfully during vacation?
And of course there were good share of unplanned, unscheduled moments of holiday-nothingness, when they watched the cartoon, films and there were the extra hours of sleep too.
Being
back from my tour, what I believed would be refreshing, did not seem so. I felt something in me has changed. I felt lost.
I struggled to figure it out. Finally,
this morning, I realized that I am stuck in the middle of the changes around
me. Changing times change people.
Accepting
it as a law of nature, I have to pull myself away from the stuck and get back
on my track.
What about ur plans for the Hyderabad trip during the Summer hols ? Do they still exist ?
